Interior

The interior is plush (at least when compared to observing in the yard on a card table!). The entire area is carpeted in outdoor carpeting to provide a nice surface to stand and kneel on, and to protect any eyepieces or equipment that may happen to plummet to the ground. A large table is setup in the northeast corner for atlases and notebooks, and is outfitted with a lucite dew shield. My wheelie-bars and a short ladder live underneath. I have a folding chair to sit at the atlas table, and my observing chair sits conveniently in one corner. The northwest wall was also paneled to allow me to pin up skycharts (in this case, two copies of Orion Deep Map 600.

Two signs adorn the observatory, one noting the observatory name, and an interior plaque noting a benefactor (you too can have a post dedicated to you!). Observing so far has been great! Now if only we had some more clear skies!
